I believe it was André Bazin who said, “all filmmakers must, at some point in their early career, make a music video for a boyband.” This is my boyband music video.

Featuring a track composed by Liam Payne of One Direction fame, the video is an attempt to contrast the boundless energy and optimism of the young bandmates, against a grim urban setting. The treatment was something of a nod to A Hard Day’s Night, following the band on the run, living out their dreams on an empty stage. In an ironic twist, one the biggest problems faced during the production were swarms of young female fans trying to break onto set to meet the band.

I just hope I made Bazin proud.
