One of my smallest-scale videos, and also possibly my favourite. We Cut Corners are a band I truly adore - their melodies are infectious, their voices are haunting, and their lyrics are elegantly-constructed works of poetry. When presented with the chance to direct a micro-budget music video for them, I jumped at the chance, and readily called in every favour I had.

The concept behind the video was an attempt to visually represent modern Ireland, hauntingly beautiful yet tragically complacent, unknowingly sleeping through rising tides. It’s a very simple, very slow-paced piece, but perhaps more than any other video I’ve done, this one holds a very special place in my heart.
